I’m a team of one, which means I do it all, including convincing myself this was a great idea when things got a little wild.

What excites me? A solid challenge, a hint of chaos, and the thrill of proving my capabilities beyond my initial expectations.

When things go sideways, and they will….I WILL panic, I WILL figure it out, I WILL laugh it off, and keep moving. Quitting isn’t really my thing.

I’m using this opportunity to raise awareness about the unpleasant aspects of cancer and cancer screening. At the end of the day, this message is simple:

Take care of your health like your life depends on it….because it does!!

• Get screened.
• Don’t wait.
• Don’t assume.
• Don’t push it off.

Let’s make this count for the people still fighting, and the ones we wish had more time. If there’s one thing this journey represents, it’s this: no matter how tough the road gets, you keep going.

Although my 2016 JKU is a purpose-built rock crawler.  It’s been dialed in over the past 9 years to handle technical terrain first, but it’s carried me through multiple overland trips without missing a beat.

I’m running Artec long arms in the front, Teraflex suspension, PSC and RPM steering, and RockJock Antirocks to keep 40” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires planted on KMC Riot beadlocks.

It’s armored with GenRight bumpers, Nemesis fenders, and a Warn winch for when things get interesting. For trips, it’s equipped with onboard air, a fridge/freezer, interior sleeping space, a Rugged radio, and even a DVD player for downtime.

It’s not built for comfort or fuel economy, but it’s built to go anywhere. If there’s a trail, it’ll take it. If there isn’t, it’ll make one.
